24 hours

There are nearly 7.5 billion people alive at this moment, living their lives, trying to live their dreams. We all get the same 24 hours in a day, but none of us are guaranteed a tomorrow

Dedicating your life towards achieving a future goal may sometimes seem counter to this belief - or, at least it does for me. Why bother working towards some promise of future happiness? (Especially when it comes with no guarantees.) Everything could be gone tomorrow, and then what was all that pain, work and sacrifice for?

In all honesty, this is still something I struggle with, especially on days like today. Sometimes I struggle and want to resign myself to comfort, chasing the next moment of pleasure rather than an elusive calling. 

I still struggle, but I know that for people like us - those dedicated to a cause greater than themselves - the end goal is so much greater than the efforts of one individual. Whatever your mission, with every step you take, you are creating momentum. And, that momentum is passed along to all of the lives you touch.

So, even if you had no tomorrow, never forget how much today still matters. You have 24 hours to make a difference. Every day has the chance to be a masterpiece ♥️ Make the most of it.
